Project Manager for design of mass grading at O’Hare International Airport in Chicago, IL. As part of the O’Hare Airport Expansion Program, which added two new runways and modified the entire airport operations, Mr. Beier managed a design team preparing plans and contract documents for a mass grading project in preparation for the new runways. This project involved moving approximately 1.1 million cubic yards of material to allow final grading for the taxiways and runways. The design and construction work involved extensive challenges in coordination with airport operations and security.
