Project Details

Bricolage Cirkus, Viroqua, WI was the renovation and repurposing of the original City of Viroqua Public Library. The building is a 1904 Carnegie Library which was transformed into Bricolage Cirkus; A space for Cirkus arts with emphasis on aerial discipline such as Silks( tissues), Trapeze, Rope, Aerial hoop, tumbling and Rock Climbing.

The two story brick structure was transformed into a tall single story space providing a training area for the aerial arts and yoga. Unique vertical wall stiffener trusses where designed to allow the removal of the first floor structure while providing wind bracing of the original 1904 unreinforced brick/stone walls.
