This project involved an existing manufacturing building/office which was renovated and altered to an auto body collision center and residential commercial building. The existing office portion of the building was a pole building structure converted to a living residence. The manufacturing portion was a metal frame clear span structure converted to an auto body shop. Our team provided the design, plans and state DSPS permitting for the combination mixed occupancy building, level 3 alteration. Beier Engineering provided a complete one-stop commercial building package to include architectural, structural, and HVAC designs/plans. This is an example of how mixed-use occupancy commercial/residential buildings can be complicated in terms of fire protection separations, structural codes, and commercial vs residential HVAC. We can navigate these complications on your behalf while finding the most cost efficient solutions.
